NO MORE PICTURES!

LIZ'S MAY LAYOUT
Hey all,
Tryin to stay ahead of the game and get my l/o posted----things are gonna get crazy later this month.
This layout was more my style than last month.
This month I was given the BoBunny Mammarazzi line (love me some BoBunny...it's probably my favorite) paper, chipboard, and button embellishments. Love this line! Also the Pink Paislee Artisan Elements frames and ribbon pleats.
Recently I went on a cruise with 4 other couples, all the other women being scrapbookers as well. So basically that meant every time you turned around someone was takin a picture.
While we were waiting to board i ended up taking pictures of them taking pictures....and then the light went on.....perfect for my mammarazzi layout!
This layout was really very easy. Layered the papers, and used tons of the chipboard.
I put a picture of each of my kids in the bottom left in the chipboard punchouts.....with their exasperated looks on their faces.....they get really tired of me taking pictures of them.....hence the title, No More Pictures.
I strung a bunch of different beads and then placed that on top of my black ribbon.
I sprayed the foam frame with tattered leather tattered angels glimmer mist and then wiped off the excess, so that it got in to the creases. Then inked the outer part of the frame with ink.
A large cluster was made on the right side of the large picture using chipboard flourishes, flowers, buttons, brads, pebbles, chipboads, ribbons, and an actual roll of 35mm film.
Til next month,
Liz

C how my garden has grown

Liz's April Layout
First let me say, this is not my usual layout. Soooo not me.....little too much 'white space' for me. But I did enjoy working on it
Products I was given:
Prima roses and Pebbles
Jenny Bowlin embellished butterflies
Trinket pins made by the fab people at Treasured Memories
Melody Ross chipboard
Core'dinations vanilla/cream large dot paper
Dear Lizzy/American Craft 'spring' paper line
Creative Imaginations real wood and pebbles
Layout is pretty simple and self explanatory. My 3 kids are my garden. Their pictures on the ribbon stem represent their growth to the present. the large flowers are cut out of the canvas paper and then covered with Ranger rock candy distressed paint. The clouds were drawn and cut out of paper and then covered with the same.
The tree trunk was drawn and cut from the real wood and inked with Versa Magic Jumbo Java and the knot was the pebble. The branches were made from the KaiserCraft wood flourishes that were inked with Jumbo Java as well. The leaves were made from different colors of tissue paper that i wrapped around a pencil eraser and then glued to a chipboard and then cut out in the shape of leaves.
The 'C' is three different chipboard c's that i covered with different papers and then layered on top of paper.
The chipboard frame was covered with the Core'dinations paper, sanded, and then inked with the Versa Magic turquise ink.
I made 3 brads using my kids pictures with the Imaginisce I-top brad maker.
Down at the bottom left of the frame i clustered flowers, pins, brads, pebbles, and paper-covered or heat embossed chipboard flowers.
That's about it, hope u like.
Til next month,
liz

Aphra's April Layout

We had our April Design Team Meeting at Treasured Memories a couple of weeks ago, and it is finally my turn to share my layout. This month I had Prima's Umbrella line, a wood sheet by Creative Imaginations, Prima's felt ferns and tiny blossoms, Melody Ross chipboard, a Treasured Memories Trinket pin, Core'dinations Cardstock, and biscuits. Here's what I came up with.
No Matter What the Weather
The paper had so many bright, busy patterns. I wanted to use them all but also wanted to still have some white space and allow the patterns to show. Sooooo . . . I cut circles into my cardstock and then placed the patterned paper behind them. I used pop dots to attach the patterned paper to the back, so there would be a little dimension.

I covered the chipboard parenthesis with one of the patterns and grounded my title with the lined pattern. I also sanded the Core'dinations cardstock to reveal the alphas.

Here you can see more chipboard (house and tree). I used the wood paper as shingles and a planter box on the little house. I cut up the Prima fern and flower bouquet to create bushes and flowers for the planter box. The house and tree trunk are covered with more Core'dinations, lightly sanded to show the red core. The fruit on the tree was created with biscuits and Kaisercraft blue bling. And I used the amazing Treasured Memories trinket as the smoke coming out of the chimney. That's the most beautiful smoke ever!

This fabulous line by Prima is available at the store. In fact, Wendy created an amazing layout fo her class this month. Be sure to stop in and tell them Aphra sent ya!

Frances' April Layout

Hello ladies! Frances here. Hope everyone is has had a glorious April! April is one of my most favorite times of the year. The weather is warm, you can wear white, and time to get those plants in the ground. I am here today to share my April project for Treasured Memories. I am really enjoying this design team. Janet changed things up a bit and we are getting to work with kits full of the latest and greatest products! I was soooo lucky to be given the Flutter Collection by Making Memories, a piece of Coordinations Cardstock, a sheet of wood, and a handful of embellishments to incorporate into my layout. Take a look...

Our Family Tree
Sweet huh? I just love the way this layout came together. I knew that I was going to have to incorporate the wood in my layout, and I just felt it needed to have some significance. That is precisely how I came up with the focus of my layout...a tree in my in-laws front yard. This tree is quite special to me. I stood in front of that tree on my wedding day with my hubby, we stand in front of that tree every Easter Sunday, and I have also taken numerous pics of my kiddos in this tree throughout the years. We have basically documented the growth of our family in front of that tree.

Here are a few close-ups...

I just love the Coordinations Cardstock I received in my kit. I was just perfect for the clouds on my layout.
Since it is Spring, I am totally in the flower mood...isn't everybody? And instead of using packaged flowers, I decided to make all of the flowers. I made paper strip flowers, cabbage flowers, 3-D heart flowers, and rolled flowers...I had a blast!!

I received a Melody Ross chipboard house in my kit, which I covered with patterned paper. I chose to not to cut out the door and windows so it would look like a bird house. I used a big turquoise vintage button from my stash for the hole in the house.

Do ya see that gorgeous pin? This is a Treasured Memories exclusive. Janet and her crew have been slaving making these babies. I actually got two of these pins in my kit, but only used one...guess you will be seeing it again sometime soon!

Well that is all for today. Stay tuned...the rest of the design team will be posting their projects soon. HAPPY MAY!
